Duresta has been making the highest quality upholstery for over 60 years, specialising in an “English Country Home” style. They are based in Long Eaton, a town renowned for the skill of its people in all aspects of furniture making, from the traditional joinery of frame makers through to all kinds of fabric-cutting and sewing expertise and an unrivalled understanding of quality upholstery.
Duresta combines all of the aforementioned skills with the best materials available to produce long-lasting sumptuously comfortable sofas and chairs. Frames are made from selected hardwoods, each dowelled, glued, and screwed for a trouble-free extended life. The standard specification includes coil sprung seating, with all fillings carefully chosen for comfort and durability.
Duresta’s staff are bench-trained craftsmen and women. Fabrics are individually hand cut and expertly sewn with valances hand slipstitched. Their large range of fabrics are sourced internationally and include sumptuous chenilles, luxury velvets, opulent weaves and colourful prints. All have undergone rigorous quality testing to avoid premature wear and tear and to guide people as to their suitability.
Duresta also holds a unique licence allowing them to study closely, and take inspiration of, furniture held in the collections of the National Trust and have just launched a range of fabrics inspired by their beautiful parks and woodlands.
