At Cousins we take great pride in supporting local charities. See below for some of the organisations that we have teamed up with.

Cancer research UK

Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. They've saved millions of lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, and survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years.

Cancer Research UK holds several events to raise cancer awareness and engage people in the fight against cancer. Race for Life is a series of women only events that we’re proud to have entered and fundraised for to support Cancer Research UK in their quest to beat cancer.

Birmingham children's hospital

Birmingham Children's Hospital provides the widest range of children’s health services for young patients from the West Midlands and beyond.

Treating over 257,000 children every year, they are a nationally designated specialist centre for epilepsy surgery and a trauma centre for the West Midlands, a national liver and small bowel transplant centre, as well as a centre of excellence for complex heart conditions, the treatment of burns, cancer and liver and kidney disease. They also have one of the largest Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in the country.

To show our support for Birmingham Children’s Hospital we take part in their annual Big Bandage event. Their principal objective is to raise money for The Critical Journey’s Appeal which was started in 2017.

So far they have raised £1.6m of a £2m target to fund lifesaving training equipment and equipment to transfer children to be able to respond quicker and more effectively to critically ill babies and children. Every year our stores wear bandages with great pride to help the hospital to give love, protection and support to these families facing the toughest of challenges.

Families come for periods of rest and recuperation along with treatment of distressing symptoms, end of life care and support.

At Cousins, we are immensely proud to help towards raising the £4.6 million needed each year to support the Francis House Children’s Hospice.

Wolverhampton Cycle and Marathon events

We are proud supporters of Wolverhampton Marathon Events and sponsor the 20k Cycle / Wheelchair Event every year where those taking part complete the route on man-powered wheels.

Bike and wheelchair athletes regularly take part but anyone is welcome. So far, the fabulous Wolverhampton Marathon race has raised in excess of £300, 000 to help the listed local charities on their website.
